The Project
Lost Power Cell is a short animated story about the universal need of community through the eyes of Elia and her robot buddy, Frank. Elia is a brilliant, young, but stubborn engineer on a distant planet where the colony’s power stations regularly experience blackouts. The results of these blackouts causes famine, lack of water, protection from sandstorms, and the death of loved ones. Elia has taken it upon herself to stop all the deaths. Her invention, though untested and dangerous, is the tool she thinks she needs to save her colony. Her mission is about to teach her a hard lesson in life. Great things can only be accomplished together

Why Partner with Us?
The spirit of our team is heavily geared towards helping the next generation of artists. We have seen a lack of action by our industry to prepare and pass the baton to future storytellers. Lost Power Cell is an opportunity to not only reinforce a positive message to the world, but also provide a space of growth and mentorship so that our beloved industry can continue to thrive for the next generation. The efforts of our team of creators developing art and tech will be open source so as to support other creatives. Our team of volunteers has grown beyond what we could have possibly imagined, rallying behind the banner of Lost Power Cell. However, there are certain costs with a project this size that are unavoidable, even with using Open Source tools with a team of global volunteers. We feel that this project aligns with what Epic is all about. We hope this project will inspire the next generation of creators to tell their own meaningful stories that change the world
